Who We Are
Hextar Healthcare Berhad (formerly known as Rubberex Corporation (M) Berhad,”Hexcare”) is an investment holding company that was incorporated in 1996 and subsequently listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 1997. The Group is principally engaged in two core business segments: manufacturing, distribution and trading of gloves and producing In-vitro Diagnostics (IVD) medical devices.
Our history began in 1987 in Ipoh, Perak as a manufacturer of household rubber gloves for the everyday community. Over the years, we have expanded our operations with a 140,000 square meter production facility manufacturing a wide range of natural and synthetic rubber gloves to over 100 countries with a dedicated office in Valencia, Spain.
With a solid track record in business management and strong cash reserves, Hexcare embarked on its next phase of growth and development. In 2020, the group began its diversification journey and ventured into property investment as well as the manufacture of medical devices such as self-test kits to enhance shareholders’ value and adapt to the new normal.
Today, we are a leading global player in natural rubber, synthetic rubber and nitrile disposable gloves for household, industrial, professional and food handling applications, and medical devices for early detection and prevention of diseases.
With long-standing customers across Europe, North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific, we deliver tailored medical device solutions catering to our customers' specific requirements and collaborate closely with renowned accredited laboratories worldwide. This allows us to conduct rigorous tests and evaluations to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

History
Established in Ipoh, Perak as a producer of household rubber gloves.
Relocated to a larger manufacturing site in Bercham and started production of technical industrial gloves.
Rubberex Corporation (M) Bhd was listed in the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
Expansion of industrial gloves and supported string knit gloves.
Manufacturer of vinyl disposable gloves based in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China.
Commenced production of nitrile disposable gloves with 3 single-formers production lines.
Installation of 5 additional single-formers production lines for nitrile disposable gloves.
Installation of 5 additional double-formers production liners for nitrile disposable gloves.
Hextar Rubber Sdn Bhd and Dato’ Ong Choo Meng emerged as major shareholders in the company.
Rubberex Corporation (M) Berhad changed its name to Hextar Healthcare Berhad.
Acquisition of Reszon Diagnostics International Sdn Bhd, a leading test kits manufacturer, to diversify into the healthcare business.
